We are the ones with the power

Oct. 4th, 2004 09:21 pm The Dodge Poetry Festival. What it got me.

I've got two poems. Listen up, cause I'm only posting them once.

"The Ant"

There was a black ant on my finger.
I went to flick him, to send him to meet his six legged god.
Instead, I paused and pondered, if the same should happen to me,
So I stooped down in the hay
And smiling, set him free.

"May I listen"

An organ the size of a fist,
Within it lies the locked reaches of a thousand epics.
Of Love
Of Hate
Of Hope
Of Dream
May I stand, may I listen?
May I sit, may I learn?
For in a place, where two hearts open amidst a thousand
Those thousand may too bloom like flowers
Before a rising sun.

Oct. 1st, 2004 12:28 am Do it. Do it.

Another week is almost in the bag. We're totally heading on a collision course with October. Rawk. I'm excited. It seems like so long since I've felt "cold". Once I can walk outside, and watch my breath fog up, I'll be happy. Die, summer...die.

So work and school. It's boring. There's really nothing that's interesting. Philosophy at 8 AM was a bad choice. Also, English 152 is boring. Chinese rules. Talking about school makes me itchy and snarley. I don't even know if snarley is a word, but it is now. Booyaaah.

On the other hand, my Autoharp stylings are getting better and better. Soon, I'll be serenading Rennisanse faires like you wouldn't believe. Pow.

That's it. Go home.

Seriously.

No, I mean it.

Fine, take the couch. It has roaches in it.

Oh, now -I'm- being the ass.

Sep. 22nd, 2004 09:28 pm Rockin'.

Well, I'd normally do something dramatic, like gasping for air - which would represent my "break to a free moment of air", you know, from work and school...but that would be overblown, and I don't want to type it. Things are happening, though!

So, the Chevy is no more. I'm going to return it to my grandma, and continue driving the Volkswagon my uncle Chong just -gave- to me. Seriously. He -gave- it to me. Insanity. It makes me feel more uber - and though it is no Kompressor, it gives me Kompressor Krushing Power. Rar. It's also a stickshift. Booyah.

School happens. I'm sorry. Work -also- happens, and nothing interesting goes on there, save for the fact that the guy who orders our shipments of filthy, filthy videos ordered 50 pieces of amputee porn. That's right. Amputee porn. Yeah, what the fuck.

So that's it! I'll see you all later.

College Boy Mike. It's really not as exciting as it sounds. Hopefully, it does not also sound like one of the following things...

1) A Gay Porno Flick
2) A Bad 1980's Gay Porno Flick
3) The Nickname of some fratboy

Yes. Now, down to buisness.

Working has begun to suck, once again. It seems like every time I get employed, I work for a guy who -really- likes to remind you that he can let you go at any time at all. It's not like I'm a bad worker, or obnoxious, he just sort of talks about it all the time. Yeah. Messed... Up. The money is okay, the hours are bad, and so is the 30 minute drive behind school busses on 571. Argh. Once I find a better place to go, I'm out of there like last, uhm, yaaear.

School is going well, at least, as well as can be expected. I forgot that you have to chop off your fingers, toes, and cock to pay for your damned books. Fifty some-odd dollars for a flimsy paperback bound Creative Writing book. FIFTY. That's a lot of bread - as they say in my neck of the woods, you know, M-town. - that could be used towards other things; clothes, food, or gas. I know, I know, I'm all bitchy. That's what you get for liking to my journal, mutha.

As for everything else, I'm doing okay. I'll catch you all next post. I don't know when that might be. I feel like Mofo. ELL OH ELL OLD SCHOOL OMG.

Aug. 26th, 2004 08:07 pm Well, well, well!

Work was alright today. Went by. Huzzah.

The gym was packed to the gills full of people. I really can't wait until the winter rolls in, if only for the decrease in the amount of sweaty muscleheads. Yuck. The crowds stopped effecting me when I hopped onto the running thinger, with the rails and the swooshing. 40 minutes of heavy running is tough, but it's getting easier. I am das ubermensch.

That's about it. Rah.

Aug. 25th, 2004 11:20 pm Huzzah and such stuff!

I have been called bad before, people say that I do things that are...not correct to do... I do not believe in such talk as this! Seriously, I don't, and please do not call me Betty. Things went pretty well today.

Work went wonderfully, since we're all starting to work as a team in catching each other's mistakes. We've been making a lot lately, and my boss has put it on -my- head to manage everyone. It's a damned big job, but now that I have everything working in tandem, it seems to be going a little better. Matt Arezzo, however, is a weak link, which upsets me..being that I've known him for like 5 years maybe more, and also since I trained him in the arts of porno warehousing. I only hope he flies, rather than plummets, because it'll be -him- who gets me a bum rap. Stupid work politics.

However! I have been doing very well at the gym. I'm going strong and right after work, so I have more time to get home and do things I like to do - like watch Kill Bill today. Hooray for blood. Also, Liana - who is my new idol! - lent me some cash so I can catch the plane to Dragon*Con. Rox0rs. I'll -so- be going. Now, since we have Monday off, and I booked the flight back on Sunday, I don't know what to do! I want to stay the extra day, but... beh, I don't know. I'll have to find -something- to do, I guess. Pleh.

That's all. Have a nice day.

Aug. 23rd, 2004 06:21 pm So much grace, rhytm and poise in -one- man?!

Well, yeah. I have all of the mentioned above, because I -am- the best. Today further proves how damned awesome I am. I was late for work. Bad start, yes. However, my boss forgave me over the course of the day, as I caught a lot of horrendous mistakes made by other people. Today was a relatively boring Monday, usually there's a lot of work, and it makes the day fly by. Not so, today, but ah well. I'm home.

Home indeed. That's all outta me. Git outta here.

Well, I got my computer back. Freaking finally. Guess what the problem was? Go on. No. Way off, dude. That fan I had? The one that I thought was awesome? Well, apparently, it sucked donkey balls. It stopped turning... and pow. No more CPU for me. Burned it like a crisp. Now, howevah, I have the power of The Green Dragon, freshly returned from the grave. Onward!

Everything was cool today. That is all.

Aug. 18th, 2004 11:37 pm Ooh, Ah. Journal. Ooh, Ah.

Yeah. YEAH. I finally got car insurance, my car on the road, and it's so wonderfully cheap insurance. Good ol' Geico. 450 bucks every six months isn't that bad, especially with my "open alcaholic beverage container" offense.

Work was work today, not too bad. It was a little muggy in the warehouse, since we need to keep the doors closed so the birds don't decide to fly in. The day went pretty quick up until about 3:00, then dragged it's feet until we were cut a loose a little early. While I can't complain with a full paycheck, the boredom does suck. At least Matt Arezzo is working there, that helps alleiviate the boredom a bit.

That's all you get for now.

G'wan. Git.

Aug. 16th, 2004 09:35 pm First things first...

Does anybody else hate that Audioslave song? The one that's like, "Now I'm free, from what you are. blah blah blah?" Absolutely. Gut. Wrenching. Not even Tom Morello can save that band, since Chris Cornell sounds like he has marbles in his mouth at all times. Nowhere near as many marbles as Eddie Vedder, but certainly a sizable amount. Damn you, 93.3. I will find you.

Work was all right today, I had the ... erm... honor, of working with Matt Arezzo. As good of a friend as he is, he certainly screwed enough stuff up today. It was really busy, and I had to train him in the ways of the warehouse. Not too much fun, lemme tell you, but by the end, I think he was doing okay. Near the end of the day, before we shipped anything out, a dump-truck ran into a telephone pole, and turned the warehouse into blackout city. We didn't ship very much, but that means I get to sit down for a while and attach labels to some boxes, which will be a nice change from constantly packing or picking videos. Boooorrrring.

I can't wait for the weekend. Maybe I'll do something interesting. Oh, and apparently, Geico has moved to NJ. Insurance tiiime.

See you later.

Aug. 13th, 2004 06:27 pm Everything is rocktastic!

I've been a horrible LJ person lately. I'll try to feed more updates, I promise.

Things are going pretty well, save for my car insurance being delayed...but that changes nothing really. I hate large companies who have the time to wait -weeks- to approve quotes and things like that. So stupid and frusterating, especially in New Jersey.

Speaking of NJ, how about that Governor McGreevy, huh? Crazy, crazy, crazy. Anyhoo, I've been working and doing things that don't really cause the earth to tremble. I -have- beaten Spiderman 2 for X-box, which rocked so hard. I still think Spidey should have hooked up with the Black Cat, but I didn't direct the game. Bruce Campbell's voice as the tutorial dude was awesome, though.

Yep. That's it. It's pretty sad, me being a grown man...talking about video games in an online journal. Sad indeed! I'll be back later.

Aug. 6th, 2004 02:58 pm No one spoke! No one moved! No one made a sound!

Well, it's been an interesting few weeks, which is nice, I suppose. I've since gotten that job at the warehouse, shipping porn to the horny masses. I'll say that yes, it is an interesting job... but borrrrring. The 8 hour work day is tough to hack - especially being that I'm on my feet for those 8 hours, and it's killing my heels and back. I bought some doctor Scholl's footpads, but they, much like their name, stole my money and left me with nothing but a broken heart. : ( Damn you, Doc Sholls. I will have my revenge.

Tomorrow is Mean Gene's first show, at Kuterstock. If you want to see HARDCORE LEGENDS IN TEH MAKING!!!111oneoneone come on down and watch me scream, watch Ryan Duncan play guitar, Steve Kuter play drums, and Greg Kuter play bass. It'll rock, I promise.

So...yeah. That's about it. Booyah.

Jul. 16th, 2004 03:35 pm The first one in a while!

"Another perfect catastrophe is waiting to happen, it's just waiting for the moment to transpire. Another perfect catastrophe is just dying to go down, it's only waiting for the perfect place and time."

Oh Firewater, you are so wise. Well, I know it's been a while since I've updated, but I've been busy looking for a job, balancing out money, trying to get my car insured, and going to the gym. Things have been going just like they do when you're unemployed. Slow. Blech. However, I may have found a job! I'm apparently scheduled for an interview Tuesday, which is pretty rockin', I must say myself.

That means I'll have cash! Which also means, I can finally get my grandmother's car back on the road, and have enough to start getting the tattoos I've been drooling over. It'll be good, a semblance of normality in my otherwise chaotic existence.

Well, that's all you get. G'wan, get outta here.

All right. So Matt Johnson just rolled back into New Jersey... FOR GOOD. That's right, the former Airman has flown the military coop and returned to good ol' New Jersey. That means that I'll be online a little less as we're going to be starting up role playing games that WORK, witout the horrible gaming force that is Dim Tim. Hoowah.

So, that's about all I gotta say at the moment. Peace out, y'all.

Yeah. I know I said that I'd keep regular updates, but I'm a horrible liar. I'm atoning with this post.

I've been the laziest fucker in a 2500 mile radius as of late. Now, mind you, I've still been going to the gym - which is an accomplishment, I guess - but everything else is going absolutely fuck all. Nobody's hiring, and I'm really behind in Kung Fu. My chi is weak.

Otherwise, I have nothing else to report. I've been sort of lethargic and slothful, like the mighty bear. Oh, and Meghan killed my ninja, whatever -that- means. I don't actually remember any ninja that I may have sent to assassinate her, but if they've failed in their mission that I supposedly sent them on, I am very displeased.

That is all. Return to your homes. Please disperse.

Jun. 11th, 2004 05:07 pm It's been a while!

It certainly has been a while, but I'm still withya. It's just been a really busy month with Spring Cleaning, looking for a job, and all the other things that come up (especially the gym!). Now, Spring Cleanning at the Sanders household is a horrible thing. It means we have to paw through all the shit we haven't touched since Christmas - and believe me, it's a lot - and start building more shelves to put it on. This is hard to do, because we're not very good carpenters, us Sanderses. So we struggle by - and soon, it becomes a 9-5 job that I don't see any profit for what-so-ever. Blech.

So, you can tell why I've been pretty barren in terms of updates!

Hopefully, I'll be back soon.

I like to be in control of myself. I dislike crowds, especially crowds containing people trying to kill me. Even though I always win, I prefer to avoid fights if possible. What Video Game Character Are You?

May. 25th, 2004 01:38 pm Woohah!

I'm back, at least, in a more "check around for updates" way. I guess it's more of a ghostly sort of visage that talks to you, rattles some chains, then flees back to the nether-realm whence it came. Here's what's been going on, because I know some of you have been wondering where the hell I am.

There's lots of problems around the house, and I may be in the process of moving my stuff elsewhere. Apparently, I cost too much for people to keep here (even though I pay rent, the fuckers!). I'll admit, I'm more excited than bummed about the whole process. I might be moving in with other relatives closeby, then again, I may not be. I don't know. We'll see.

To add to the good news, my computer's AMD processor finally screamed "enough with the overclocking!" and tripped off the switch for automatic shutdown. Until I get that maintenence done on the computer, there's really no other option... though I'm on my brother's computer now, and I may hook up my old one again. I don't know, nothing is certain.

That's about it for now. I hope you all get this message, because I need to keep on doing things. Later.

May. 18th, 2004 08:57 pm Not feeling crappy anymore.

Well, I don't feel as shitty anymore, which is good - considering that yesterday, I was a wreck. Today has gone pretty smoothly, and I did manage to go to the gym; which helps with things like stress, fatigue, and depression, so I guess I turned out okay in the end. Also: Aqua Teen Hunger Force really does lift the spirits, like a crowd of pipe-hittin' homies raisin' the roof offa da joint. Whoot whoot!

I'm relieved that I have all you guys and gals out there that I can lean on when I'm feeling down. Y'all rock my hizzy. Seriously.

Alright, that's about all for now. See you guys later.
